In the Theater Garden at Lotusland for What Green Altar

The title of the dance film Nik Blaskovich and I are editing comes from John Keat's sublime "Ode on a Grecian Urn." Set in the perfect theater garden Madame Ganna Walska designed at her fabled Lotusland, Monica Meilin Ford cavorts in true preclassical style as you can see in these stills by Nik who was also our cinematographer. It feels perfect to be editing during the month of May when the very air is perfumed green:

Thou still unravish'd bride of quietness,

Thou foster-child of silence and slow time,

Sylvan historian, who canst thus express

A flowery tale more sweetly than our

rhyme:

What leaf-fring'd legends haunts about thy shape

of deities or mortals, or of both,

In Tempe or the dales of Arcady?",,,,,
